Cold Bore Cap
Warning: These Caps must be removed before firing the rifle. While all of our products have a lifetime warranty, shooting them is not part of that coverage.
With the testing by some of the greats in Rimfire shooting we have come to know that cold bore shots do have a moderate shift in muzzle velocity.
Allowing the barrel to "dry" over a 20-30 min period between shots can cause point of impact shift.
These caps when paired with our ECI's trap moisture in the barrel and allow for an extended time between shots without the cold bore MV jump.
These caps have an internal 9lb magnet for retention with a 3/8" diameter opening to prevent a round strike.
They are design to accept tape to cover the hole, in the event you forget to remove the cap it is shoot through so it will not damage the cap or your muzzle.
The optional reducer kit needs to be test fit to the smallest possible size to prevent a round strike on the magnet.
